Netflix, fresh off its landmark acquisition of Warner Bros. and HBO, led all distributors with 35 nominations, while its soon-to-be-absorbed counterparts collectively scored 31.On the film side, One Battle After Another surged ahead of the pack with nine nominations, emerging as the year’s most recognised motion picture. The sharp sociopolitical satire earned nods for best motion picture – musical or comedy. Paul Thomas Anderson’s direction and screenplay, Jonny Greenwood’s score, and a powerhouse slate of performances from Leonardo DiCaprio, Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, and Teyana Taylor.Sentimental Value and Sinners also showed up strong with eight and seven nominations, respectively, competing across drama, acting, and craft categories.The nominations were announced by Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall.
