Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy Becomes Only Indian Film Selected for Letterboxd’s First-ever Video Store_我的网站

一 |     Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir Kennedy achieved a huge feat recently. In a milestone moment for Indian cinema, the film has been selected as the only title from the country to feature in the debut lineup of the Letterboxd Video Store. On December 10, Letterboxd officially launched its online film-rental platform, Video Store, featuring a curated mix of acclaimed movies, exclusive Academy Award submissions, and festival hits unavailable elsewhere.          The platform will let its members watch titles on a transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) model, free from subscriptions. And nestled among nine hand-picked international films is Kennedy, which had its world premiere in 2023 at the Cannes Film Festival.     Kashyap, who wrote the film during the lockdown, says, “I am happy that finally the film will be available for the general audience to watch in some parts of the world. It’s one of my most personal films and would love to get the audience feedback and reaction, and I am thankful to Letterboxd for putting it on their new platform. And I am, hopeful that we’ll soon be able to release it in India too as the producers are working on it.          Kennedy stars Rahul Bhatt and Sunny Leone. Shot largely at night across Mumbai over an intense 30-day schedule, the film follows an insomniac ex-cop, presumed dead, who continues to work for a corrupt system while seeking redemption.     Producer Ranjan Singh adds, “Yes, it’s a great moment that after travelling to almost 30 festivals across the world, the film will be available to cinephiles in these countries and we are extremely proud as the only Indian film in this line-up. We want to thank Letterboxd for choosing Kennedy and our studio partners, Zee Studios for the support that they’ve given to make this possible. We are working together on the India release of the film soon.”     After its Cannes premiere, the film screened at the Sydney International Film Festival (Australia), Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea), Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (Switzerland), MOTELX - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, Indie Meme Film Festival (Austin, Texas), Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (Australia), London Indian Film Festival (UK), Fantastic Fest (USA), Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, and the Kolkata International Film Festival, among others.     The countries where Kennedy will be available are the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Switzerland.     Also Read: Anurag Kashyap to Star in Sam Anton’s Tamil Techno-thriller Unkill 123。    本报讯为贯彻落实习近平总书记关于法治是最好的营商环境重要论述、八五普法规划、关于组织开展民法典主题宣传的部署要求，近日区委宣传部、区委法制建设委员会守法普法协调小组、区司法局，以优化法治化营商环境为重点，组织全区持续深入开展民法典系列普法宣传，将法律知识送到群众身边，将居民法律疑难问题解决在家门口。         　　区委法制建设委员会守法普法协调小组按照谁执法谁普法，谁服务谁普法的普法责任制要求，多部门联合开展高频次、多样式的普法宣传活动。通过送法进机关、进社区、进乡村、进企业、进校园、进单位，并结合政务公开日集中宣传活动，设置咨询台，悬挂条幅，发放《宪法》《中华人民共和国民法典》等宣传手册、消防安全知识手册、禁毒宣传单、法律援助联络卡以及定制的法制元素环保袋等宣传品。

二 | 律师现场答疑，并普及与生活息息相关、社区关注度较高等方面内容，深入讲解民法典实施对个人生活和社会生活带来的变化和影响。工作人员还向临街商铺广泛宣传信用知识，共同营造诚实守信的良好社会环境。据统计，民法典进乡镇、进社区活动共开展集中宣传12场，发放宣传资料一万余份，悬挂宣传条幅30余条，受教育达2万余人。开展民法典进企业普法大讲堂活动，指导帮扶商户完成年报22户，完成信用修复4户。         　　区法院开展主题开放日活动，东城世纪小学的学生参观法院，了解法院工作，接触法院文化，感受法律的威严和神圣。

三 |          　　同时，相关部门还充分利用连山融媒、连山宣传等微信公众号，法治连山抖音号及网格微信群等，推送相关的视频、音频、案例等，提高群众对法律法规的知晓率，真正使法律法规走到群众身边，走进群众心里。（范丽菊）。
